ADDING A PLAYER TO YOUR 7-DAY OR 60-DAY INJURED LIST
If you wish to add a player to your 7-day or 60-day injured list, remember that the player cannot be removed from that respective list until they have reached at least that number of days (7 or 60). Remember:
- Players on your 7-day injured list: these players count towards your roster limits and you are fully responsible for your salary. The benefit of moving a player to your 7-day injured list is that you may then call up a player on your 40-man roster that is in your minors without using a player option on the injured player.
- Players on your 60-day injured list: you are fully responsible for the salary of players on the 60-day injured list, however, they will not count towards your roster limits. The benefits of moving a player to your 60-day injured list is that you may then call up a player on your 40-man roster that is in your minors without using a player option on the injured player, and you can also add another player in your farm system to your 40-man roster in a corresponding move.
When adding a player to your injured list, please post in this format:
Post Title: Player Name
Player Name / Position / MLB Team / 2020 Contract / 2021 Contract / Etc.
7-day IL or 60-day IL
Your corresponding move - either the player from your 40-man roster to add to your 26-man roster (7-day IL), or the player you are adding to your 40-man roster (60-day IL)
Example
Post Title: Jordan Zimmerman
Jordan Zimmerman / SP,RP / DET / 2020: $25M / 2021: FA
60-day IL
Add Daz Cameron to 26-man roster
REMOVING A PLAYER FROM YOUR 7-DAY OR 60-DAY INJURED LIST
Once a player has reached the 7-day or 60-day threshold and can be removed from their respective IL, you may remove them from the IL.
Do note:
- A player on the 7-day IL never left your 40-man roster, and they must be added back to your 40-man roster when removed from the IL. A player will have to be removed from your 40-man roster to make room for this player.
- A player on the 60-day IL was removed from your 40-man roster, and you do not necessarily have to add them back to your 40-man roster. However, you will still be responsible for the player's salary. It would not make much sense for a Jordan Zimmerman getting paid $25M to sit in AA when I could at least be getting stats from him.
When removing a player from your injured list, please post in this format:
Post Title: Player Name
Player Name / Position / MLB Team / 2020 Contract / 2021 Contract / Etc.
The player's destination
Your corresponding move
Example
Post Title: Jordan Zimmerman
Jordan Zimmerman / SP / DET / 2020: $25M / 2021: FA
26-man roster
Designate Miguel Cabrera for assignment
